Salmon with Lemon Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Add lemon juice and swirl the skillet to combine.
  2. Place salmon fillets, flesh-sides down, into the skillet. Cook until browned, about 3 minutes.
  3. Baste the tops of the fillets with lemon butter using a spoon.
  4. Flip the fillets using a spatula and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
