Garlic Parmesan Chicken

This easy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Chicken recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Crispy breading with a rich, cheesy flavor makes this dish irresistible!

Ingredients

  • cup mayonnaise
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Directions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425F (220C).

Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Stir well until fully blended.

Step 3: Place the bread crumbs in a separate shallow bowl, ready for dipping.

Step 4: Dip each chicken breast into the mayonnaise mixture, ensuring it's fully coated. Then, transfer it to the bread crumbs, pressing gently to coat the chicken evenly.

Step 5: Arrange the breaded chicken breasts on a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out for even cooking.

Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the coating turns golden brown. You can check doneness by using an instant-read thermometer, which should read 165F (74C) when inserted into the center of the chicken.

WOOT WOOT ! lol. I did make some minor changes that i think helped make this dish 5 stars. Try using crushed croutons instead of the Italian bread crumbs. It made it that much more crunchier! Use chicken tenderloins, that way the chicken crunches up better. I also cooked it on a pampered chef stone! YUMM, I loved this and will make it several times a month.

This was super simple and easy (great for a single working woman!) The mayo held just fine - didn't slide off as one reviewer said it would. I used panko instead of breadcrumbs. I found it a little bland so the only things I'll do different next time (and there will be a next time!) is add some more /different spices and flip the breasts halfway through so they get crispy on both sides (the tops browned a little but didn't have any juices to get that fried chicken-like crisp to them - the bottoms were perfect).

You really do need to watch the video to get all the suggested seasonings in this recipe, such as oregano, rosemary, or thyme. For those of us who found it bland, that's what appears to be missing. Three stars because the suggested additions are not in the recipe.

Loved it! I added onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning and pepper to the mayo mixture. I also pounded the chicken for a more even cook. I also baked it on a rack for a crispy finish on both sides. Easier than using the flour, egg, and breading method and it retains the moisture better.

Delicious! I followed some of the suggestions (increase the garlic powder in the mayo mix; add some Italian seasoning and freshly ground black pepper to the breadcrumb mixture). Good ideas. A few suggestions: - pound the cutlets to an even thickness - pat cutlets dry w/ paper towels before dipping in mayo mixture, and - cut the mayo mix by about 1/3. The recipe calls for much more than you’ll need, imo. Lots of compliments!

Simple juicy & tasty! I marinated chicken tenderloins in Italian salad dressing for a couple hours, dredged in Italian breadcrumbs and then Panko crumbs. Baked at 400 x 23 min. Served with thin spaghetti with aglio de olio. YUM!!

This Italian Baked Chicked recipe was delicious! We really loved it. I too, added parsley, oregano, rosemary & thyme because my family really likes those seasonings. I also took another reviewer's advice and baked them on wire racks & a cookie sheet. I am so glad I did because they turned out perfectly. Will make again!

Very tasty. I agree with using wire rack and turning. I used a mix of a plant based mayonnaise and a little mustard, Panka crumbs.

I made this according to the instructions; however, I added Italian seasoning to the mayonnaise/parmesan mixture, and my bread crumbs consisted of seasoned croutons and Ritz crackers, equal amounts, ground in a food processor. It was delicious! The crust did come off easily before and after cooking, but it was so good we just scraped it up!

The chicken was very moist and I loved the crunchy texture. I did find that it needed more flavor. I did add onion powder and pepper to the mayo mix. Next time I will add parmesan cheese, garlic powder and oregano to the bread crumbs.

This is a great quickie recipe. I have also used thin sliced chicken breasts and plain bread crumbs with added Italian seasoning. Easy and tasty...Definitely a keeper!

I have a hard time finishing an entire chicken breast because they usually are so dry and bland. This recipe is amazing. I may have added a bit more parm than the recipe called for, but other than that, I made it exactly as written. Moist and flavorful - yum!
