Pineapple BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe

Cook Time: 360 minutes

This slow-cooked Honey BBQ Pulled Pork is tender, flavorful, and easy to prepare. Perfect for gatherings or a weeknight meal!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle honey barbeque sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple

Directions

  1. Place the pork shoulder and chicken broth in a slow cooker. Set the cooker to Low and cook for 5 to 7 hours until the pork is tender.
  2. Once the cooking time is complete, drain all the liquid from the slow cooker and shred the pork using two forks.
  3. Add the honey barbeque sauce, chopped onion, and fresh pineapple to the shredded pork. Mix thoroughly to combine.
  4. Continue cooking the mixture on Low for an additional 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the pork to absorb the sauce.

Cook's Note

If you prefer, you can substitute water for the chicken broth. This will give a slightly different flavor but still yield a delicious result.
