Cook Time: 360 minutes
This slow-cooked Honey BBQ Pulled Pork is tender, flavorful, and easy to prepare. Perfect for gatherings or a weeknight meal!
Ingredients
- 3 pounds pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle honey barbeque sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
Directions
- Place the pork shoulder and chicken broth in a slow cooker. Set the cooker to Low and cook for 5 to 7 hours until the pork is tender.
- Once the cooking time is complete, drain all the liquid from the slow cooker and shred the pork using two forks.
- Add the honey barbeque sauce, chopped onion, and fresh pineapple to the shredded pork. Mix thoroughly to combine.
- Continue cooking the mixture on Low for an additional 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the pork to absorb the sauce.
Cook's Note
If you prefer, you can substitute water for the chicken broth. This will give a slightly different flavor but still yield a delicious result.
