Easy Grilled Tuna Recipe

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

This recipe is crafted for its original yield. Ingredient quantities will adjust automatically if scaling the recipe, but cooking times and steps should remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.

  • 2 tuna steaks (6 ounces each, approximately 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup Italian-style salad dressing

Directions

Follow these steps to prepare perfectly grilled, flavorful tuna steaks:

  1. Place the tuna steaks in a bowl and pour the Italian-style dressing over them, making sure both sides are well coated.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tuna, allowing it to marinate for 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the tuna from the marinade and place it on the preheated grill. Cook each side for approximately 5 minutes, or until the tuna lightens in color while still retaining a thin pink center.
  5. Remove from the grill and let rest briefly before serving.

Editor's Note

The nutrition information includes the full amount of marinade. The actual amount consumed may be less depending on how much dressing adheres to the fish.

I marinated the tuna steaks overnight and they were so tender that they practically melted in my mouth. I'm glad I prepared double the amount I initially planned because everyone couldn't resist having more!
