Spiced Grilled Tilapia
Ingredients
This recipe yields 4 servings. Ingredient amounts are adjusted automatically, but cooking times and steps remain consistent.
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons ground smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- teaspoon salt
- teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 tilapia fillets (6 ounces each)
- Cooking spray
Directions
Step 1: In a small bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to create a smooth spice mixture.
Step 2: Evenly brush the oil and spice mixture over each tilapia fillet, ensuring all sides are coated.
Step 3: Preheat a large nonstick grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 4: Place the tilapia fillets on the grill pan. Cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 4 minutes per side.
Step 5: Remove from heat and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Recipe Tip
This tilapia can also be grilled outdoors for a smoky flavor. Adjust cooking time slightly depending on the heat of your outdoor grill.

What a fantastic find! My husband was craving fish, but I didn't want to use the oven, so I stumbled upon this recipe. Tilapia happens to be a household favorite. My 12-year-old son took charge of the seasoning, while my 11-year-old coated the fish. I preheated our Traeger grill and utilized our grill mats for cooking. The result was phenomenal! The tilapia turned out light, tender, and incredibly juicy, with perfectly flaky flesh. We've already decided to make it again next week, pairing it with some grilled veggies. This recipe is a wonderful and healthy choice for a speedy meal. Many thanks for sharing it with us!

This dish was amazing! I didn't follow a strict recipe, but used around 1 tablespoon of oil and omitted salt for health considerations. I will absolutely be preparing this dish again!

I prepared this dish for lunch and it exceeded my expectations. I decided to enhance the flavor by adding 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. I also increased the amount of olive oil by an additional tablespoon. The glaze was plentiful and easily covered 6 servings. The added ingredients gave it a subtle BBQ taste. I will definitely be making this again! Thank you for sharing!

This dish was incredibly easy to make and the flavor was absolutely delicious. The addition of a fresh lemon wedge for drizzling added a delightful burst of freshness. It's a fantastic, quick, and healthy meal option for any day of the week.
