Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole Recipe

Cook Time: 50 minutes

Spaghetti Bake

This comforting spaghetti bake is a family favorite with layers of pasta, ground beef, and cheesy goodness. A quick and easy meal for busy nights!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Step 2: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes.

Step 3: While the spaghetti is cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring, until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Set aside.

Step 4: Drain the cooked spaghetti and transfer it to a large bowl. Add the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the spaghetti is well coated.

Step 5: Spread a small amount of the meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Layer the coated spaghetti on top of the sauce, then pour the remaining meat sauce over the pasta.

Step 6: Sprinkle the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top of the spaghetti.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the dish is bubbly and the cheese is golden and melted.

I have made this recipe several times now, and it's truly delicious! The only tweak I made was softening the cream cheese in the microwave and then mixing all the spices into it before adding the noodles. I have experimented with the spices as well, using whatever I fancy. My favorite combination includes minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano, and a touch of fresh minced basil. Occasionally, I incorporate a bit of fennel to give it a hint of lasagna flavor. Once, when I ran low on cream cheese, I added some sour cream, and it turned out just as tasty. This recipe is incredibly simple. Thank you for sharing!

Exceptional, Luxuriously Creamy, and Absolutely Fantastic! I carefully followed the recipe, although I decided to soften the cream cheese and mix in the spices before incorporating them into the noodles. Additionally, I included some freshly chopped basil in both the cream cheese mixture and sprinkled on top after baking. This dish was incredibly well-received and is sure to become a regular staple in my household. Thank you so much!!!

I absolutely adore this dish! Despite my cream cheese not being softened enough, I decided to incorporate it into the sauce along with some chopped yellow onion added to the hamburger on the stovetop. After a few minutes of blending, I combined the noodles, sauce, and cheeses together, topping it all off with a delightful mix of cheddar and Italian cheese. The end result was fantastic!

After warming up the meat/sauce mixture, I incorporated all the remaining ingredients into the sauce until the cream cheese was fully blended. Then, I combined the spaghetti and transferred it to a casserole dish for baking. I opted not to layer it, and it turned out perfectly!

This recipe is simple yet versatile! I substituted ground turkey for beef, included diced onions, and mixed in a can of diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano. To elevate it, I scattered mozzarella pearls throughout and sprinkled some on top for an added twist!

Please consider using shorter pasta shapes like shells, farfalle, or ziti for easier consumption.

Wow, this dish was absolutely delicious! I decided to enhance it by including onion and garlic powder, but otherwise stuck to the recipe as directed. The flavor was fantastic both before and after baking.

I prepared it using a combination of half hamburger and half Italian sausage. I sautéed some onions with the meat. Instead of spaghetti, I opted for whole wheat penne since that was what I had on hand.

This dish was quick and simple to make. I had anticipated a firmer texture similar to lasagna, but it turned out loose and didn't hold its shape. The addition of cream cheese gave it an odd flavor. Unfortunately, this recipe didn't suit our taste preferences.
