Maple Pumpkin Butter Cake Recipe

Cake:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- cup maple-flavored pumpkin butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- teaspoon baking powder
- teaspoon ground cinnamon
- teaspoon ground nutmeg
- teaspoon ground ginger
- teaspoon salt
Topping:
- cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
- 1 tablespoon maple-flavored pumpkin butter
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375F (190C). Grease a 9x13-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar together using an electric mixer until creamy and smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the pumpkin butter and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the cake batter evenly into the prepared cake pan.
- To make the topping, combine the brown sugar, butter, pumpkin butter, and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
- Spread the topping over the cake batter, covering it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
