Cook Time: 30-40 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix (without nuts)
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • cup water
  • 1 (13 ounce) package miniature chocolate-covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped, chilled, and coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • cup white sugar
  • cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, 2 eggs, and water. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped chocolate-covered peanut butter cups into the brownie batter.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the peanut butter, sugar, butter, flour, vanilla extract, and 1 egg using an electric mixer until fully combined.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Top the brownie layer with spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture, spacing them evenly.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter between the dollops of peanut butter mixture.
  8. Use a knife to gently swirl the peanut butter mixture into the brownie batter. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain the swirl pattern.
  9. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into squares and serving.

I decided to make these brownies this morning after being inspired by LovestoHost's photo. I used a dark chocolate brownie mix and made a couple of adjustments by reducing a teaspoon of water and adding a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter. Additionally, I chopped up mini Reese's cups in the food processor before incorporating them into the brownie mix. Baked in my Perfect Brownie Pan at 350 degrees, they were ready in just over 30 minutes. Once cooled, we eagerly indulged in these brownies. They were absolutely divine - easily one of the best brownies we've ever tasted. To our surprise, they're already more than halfway gone!

I couldn't resist the combination of Peanut Butter and rich chocolate in this recipe. Being a bit challenged when it comes to baking brownies to perfection, I attempted to make them in mini muffin tins. Although they turned out decent, I struggled to hit the right baking time, resulting in some being underdone while others were overbaked. If you're skilled at determining brownie doneness and bake times, you might have better luck than I did. Eventually, I switched to baking them in an 8x8 pan as originally suggested, using half the batter. This method worked much better, and the brownies turned out delicious. I opted for a Duncan Hines box mix as I needed one that fit a 9x13 pan size. A big thank you to Erica for sharing this recipe!

This recipe turned out perfectly! Following the advice of another reviewer, I swapped a teaspoon of water for a teaspoon of vanilla, although in hindsight, it may not have been necessary. Baked at 350 degrees for 32 minutes and made sure to swirl the peanut butter thoroughly to ensure there were no clumps. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

I had high expectations for this recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out as I hoped. The peanut butter layer turned out dry and crumbly, and I felt like there was too much of it for the amount of brownies. I didn't swirl it in enough, so that might have affected the outcome. Additionally, I didn't have mini peanut butter cups, so I substituted with chocolate chips. I baked them for only 35 minutes, as at 25 minutes they were still gooey around the edges. I should have followed my golden rule of making brownies: always underbake them. If I attempt this recipe again, I would consider skipping the flour in the peanut butter mixture and possibly increasing the sugar. Even the batter tasted off after adding the flour, so I'm not sure where things went wrong.

If you're a fan of chocolate and peanut butter cups, you're going to absolutely adore these brownies. I opted for the Duncan Hines Milk Chocolate brownie mix and took them to a Christening party. They disappeared within just half an hour! I will definitely be whipping up another batch of these soon.

As an experienced baker who typically prefers baking from scratch, I decided to give this brownie mix a try. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the taste. Despite the addition of peanut butter cups, the brownies turned out surprisingly bland. I hate to leave negative reviews, but I can't think of anything that could salvage this recipe. I would advise against even attempting to make these brownies - they were a complete letdown.

I absolutely love this product! It's so delicious. My dog ended up eating my son's birthday cake, so I made him these birthday brownies instead. They were so simple to make!

I came across this recipe while munching on a bag of mini peanut butter cups. Luckily, I had all the other ingredients in my pantry. The end result was fantastic - these brownies were moist, flavorful, and truly delicious. This recipe has the potential to become my new favorite!

I omitted the candy pieces and as a result, the texture of the dessert turned out to be overly crumbly and somewhat dry.

The product is decent, but I can't really detect the chocolate and peanut butter combination in it.

Review: The edges were burnt and the center remained undercooked. The peanut butter mixture was dry and crumbly. I have never left a comment on a recipe before, but I am incredibly disappointed considering the time and money spent on preparation.

I was yearning for a decadent, indulgent dessert that wasn't heavy on oil and sugar, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I whipped up a batch of brownies from scratch and then modified a recipe by cutting down on the sugars, and the result was fantastic. Surprisingly, reducing the sugar content actually amplified the richness and satisfaction of the dessert. I even stored half of the batch in the freezer to satisfy future cravings.
