I have made this from another recipe and its very easy and tasty. The only difference is my recipe uses 1 tsp of sesame oil, 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1 tsp rice wine vinegar. I like those ratios better than this recipes. I think it is a matter of taste. But it's a great recipe and I recommend it highly.

I changed the pork sausage to ground turkey and added 3 different kinds of cole slaw: vegetable, broccoli and regular. I served it over rice. I think it was a much healthier recipe.

Excellent dinner!! Followed other reviews and used ground turkey (family member doesn't eat sausage), and added fresh pineapple, chopped scallions and added some plum sauce. Doubled the sauce and the entire pan full was eaten with no leftovers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My ingredients vary. I have used ground beef and diced chicken breast. I toss in a half bag of stir fry veggies, bean sprouts and water chestnuts into the mix with a little oyster and soy sauce. Red pepper flakes and you have a great meal.

Since my husband doesn’t eat pork and I couldn’t find alternative sausage, I used 1 lb ground turkey plus sage, cumin, oregano, and red pepper. The dish was delicious and easy! Definitely adding it to the rotation at our house!

I made this by the instructions, and found it to have too much meat vs. cabbage filling, and too much soy taste, was good but...I took another package of coleslaw mix, used half soy half sesame oil to equal 1/4 cup, added ground ginger, lemon pepper, and garlic powder, ( I did not have any more fresh spices) sautéed it for 4 minutes added it to the first batch with the sausage, and it was perfect for my liking. I will make this again, doubling the coleslaw mix, and other fresh ingredients next time

This was a hit at my home. I have made this twice. I shredded a head of cabbage and a couple of carrots the 1st time. This gave a much better flavor than the bag coleslaw, which was still delicious and much simpler to make on a weeknight. I replaced the pork with ground chicken and served over rice. I also added some Thai chili spice to give it some kick.

I make another version of this recipe, I was given years ago. Instead of coleslaw mix; I use a power blend mix containing kale, cabbage, broccoli, and kolrabi. I also add chopped 1/2 med onion, chopped 1/2 c. celery and 4 oz. fresh crimini or portobello mushrooms. Other differences: 2 Tbsp. Sesame oil, divided( 1/3 in skillet with sausage, the rest in skillet to saute vegetables). Increase garlic to 3 cloves, the sauce contains 1/2 c. Soy, 1 Tbsp Rice Wine vinegar, 1Tbsp Sweet Hot Chili Sauce and stir in 1 Tbsp Cornstarch. Serve this over rice if desired and Toasted sesame seed, sliced green onion and wonton strips for garnish.

Very good recipe! I added rice wine vinegar, Oyster sauce, and cayenne pepper as others suggested. Will make again. Thanks for the recipe!

Subbed out the meat with vegetarian chorizo because we are not meat eaters. Used shredded broccoli salad and shredded Asian salad from Wegmans big hit. Definitely a keeper.

It was a quick, easy meal to make but I found it really salty. Next time I will use ground beef and low sodium soy sauce.

Mostly made as written, but doubled. Used ground beef, because that's what I had. It was delicious! Glad I made double, there wasn't as much left over as I thought there would be. Will definitely be making this again! Yum!

Made it with ground pork instead of sausage. I seasoned my pork with garlic powder, salt & pepper. Used less sesame oil based on the other reviews and replaced that with the soy sauce and used extra ginger because I love ginger. It was delicious!

Bland. Too much sesame oil, not enough soya. More garlic required.
