Oh, the incredible edible egg! Don't be afraid to microwave the egg, it really is good. If you spray the bowl with some Pam first, the egg will slide right out and you won't have that cooked on egg that is impossible to scrub off your dishes. I only microwave one egg at about 45 seconds and then top it with cheese and microwave it for the last 15 seconds. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and viola. This is so versatile too. You can add bacon, sausage, ham, tomato, etc. And you can use any bread you have (sandwich, hamburger roll, English muffin, croissant, etc.) and it turns out great every time! So easy a man, I mean the kids could do it!

I had very little time this morning to make breakfast for the kids. This worked out great as my oldest boy could do this pretty much by the directions. I had one of those microwave omelette pans (which asks for two eggs, wisked, to be poured on each side). All he did was add salt and pepper to each wisked egg and cook it in the microwave omelette pan. Then, he cut it in half to make two sandwiches. Good for them, GREAT for me. NOTE: You might want to keep in mind that you may need to spritz your microwaveable container with non-stick spray before you cook your egg. Having made egg in the microwave before, they do tend to want to stick pretty bad if you don't.

So Good! I added bacon and ham, and it tasted like homeade Jack in The Box sandwiches! just wrap 2 pieces of bacon in 2 paper towels and microwave for 1 to 3 minutes. Highly recommended!

Great but I made a few changes. I used liquid egg white from a carton and cooked them in a skillet. Then i added sauteed to the pepper, onion, and ham and folded them in. I skipped the cheese and the toast and served it on a plate. With Tabasco.

I've been making these since I was a young girl for breakfast or lunch. I beat the egg lightly and had a small handful of chives (fresh or dried). pour the egg in the pan on medium low, let rise like an omelet, turn it and add a slice of cheese to melt slightly. Put the egg on toasted bread with a little mayonnaise and just a smidgen of plain mustard only about 1/2 teaspoon. It's even good with some Bib lettuce on it or some crispy bacon....is that an ELT?

I added a pat of butter to the egg and some seasoning. Cooked on high in microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds. Add the cheese to toasted rye bread smeared with butter, then microwaved for 30 seconds. Yum Yum. You can also add cooked bacon or ham before microwaving. Quick and easy and so much cheaper than take out.

This was good. I added spinach on top of the egg , and sprinkled with parmesan cheese before cooking. When finished I put a little salsa on top. Perfect!

Super easy! I cooked two eggs in a microwave-safe bowl. In addition to the salt and pepper I added some garlic powder and sriracha sauce. I microwaved the egg for 1 minute, then added a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the egg and microwaved for the additional 15 seconds. Served in a toasted hamburger bun. Will definitely make again - the possible alterations are many (already thinking about adding bell pepper slices, sauteed onion, bacon bits, diced ham/turkey, etc.)

I scrambled one egg w/seasoning and a touch of milk. Put it in a coffee cup sprayed w/Pam and cooked for 1 min in microwave. It came out fluffy and tasted great. I made the toast in the toaster & added cheese and a piece of bologna that I cooked 1 min in the microwave. Also, added mayo on the bread. Was DELISH and so much easier than scrambling on the stovetop. Thanks for posting.

Helpful hints: Bread is square, egg is round. Use spatula to cut egg into four pieces (like big pie helpings). Then place pieces on one piece of toast so that corners of egg pieces are in corners of toast. It fits! Then add your other stuff, like bacon bits, topped with a Velveeta slice. Say what you like about Velveeta, nothing melts better. Option two: leave the egg in one round piece, and substitute an English muffin for the bread. If you do this, fold the corners of the cheese slice in, so it's shaped like a stop sign. Then it fits, too!

Quick & easy to make. No oil from frying & I can season it as I like. I usually throw bacon bits in there & throw some monetary jack cheese when the microwave gets to 20 seconds left. I throw the mix in one of those sandwich holder cases so it shapes out to the bread I throw it on; also helps in removing it by placing the bread on top when done & flipping it (opposed to worrying about a hot plate).

This was very fast from start to finish. I had this plated before my coffee was even finished brewing. I have a long standing history of microwave fails, and while this wasn't one of then, it could stand improvement. Cooking in the bowl resulted in the egg all in heap of scrambled egg, and it only covered 2/3 of the toast. It would be better cooked where it could spread out more and take on more of a square shape to fit the toast better. It stuck to the bowl a little, but was easy enough to release. The toast took on a softer moister side from the steam trapped between the bottom toast and the plate, while the top piece was still dry and crunchy. This was very dry overall though, and needed some type of sauce and something for texture too. I added some bacon and a drizzle of ketchup which made my mouth happy. I might have overcooked my egg a bit, so I'd adjust the time next time. While this was fine as is, I prefer a pan cooked egg, some bacon or sausage too, and to have the bread grilled rather than dry toasted. This was a nice jumping off point to make this my own and is easily customizable and versatile. I'd do this again if I needed something quick and easy, as it is much faster than the stovetop method and fewer dishes to clean up too.

Terrible. Microwaves are deadly with eggs. This one tasted like plastic, even with better cheese (cheddar). American cheese isn't even real cheese

Here is a great variation - first, crack the egg into a small oiled bowl. Pierce the yolk one time with a fork. Place in microwave for 30 seconds at power 8 with a cover over the bowl. You will wind up with a microwave sunny side up egg! (Microwaves vary in power, so experiment with different cooking times and levels.)
