Raw Chia "Porridge" Recipe
Chia Seed Porridge with Banana and Blueberries
Ingredients
- cup chia seeds
- 1 banana
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 cup almond milk
- teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt, to taste
- cup fresh blueberries (or more to taste)
Directions
Step 1: Start by placing the chia seeds in a bowl.
Step 2: In a blender, layer the banana and pitted dates. Add the almond milk, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Blend everything until smooth.
Step 3: Pour the blended mixture over the chia seeds and stir well to combine.
Step 4: Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes, allowing it to thicken to a pudding-like consistency.
Step 5: After the chia "porridge" has thickened, give it a good stir. Top with fresh blueberries and serve.
Recipe Tip
The porridge will be even softer if you let it sit in the refrigerator overnight, making it a great make-ahead breakfast option.

I absolutely adore this recipe! I decided to enhance it by incorporating some raw walnuts and a touch of vanilla into the mixture. I ended up doubling the batch so I could enjoy some now and save some for the morning. The result? Absolutely delicious!

I simply ate it as is and it tasted delicious. I did opt to refrigerate it overnight. I would definitely cook this dish again.

This recipe is absolutely delicious! I've made it three times now, and each time it turns out just as good as the last. For a thicker, more 'porridge-like' consistency, I recommend letting it sit overnight. It may lose a bit of its color, but the taste remains just as delicious!
