Cocoa, Banana, and Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.
- 1 cup milk
- chopped frozen banana, or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
Directions
Step 1: Blend together milk, frozen banana, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and honey in a blender until smooth.
Recipe Tip
You can substitute unsweetened almond milk for regular milk, replace the banana with 1/2 of an avocado, or add a pinch of cayenne pepper or cinnamon to make the cocoa powder "pop."

Great taste, but it's very liquidy. If you want it a little thicker, add some ice cubes.

One of my favorites. I changed it a bit though: 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 banana (not frozen) 2 tablespoons almond butter 2 tablespoons rolled oats 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder 1000mg cinnamon 1 tablespoon coffee flavored or chocolate protein powder 5 to 6 ice cubs

I wanted to make something super easy and healthy for myself. Of course, you can always modify the ingredients if you want it to be not as sweet. So I used Almond Milk or Oatmilk since I don’t like regular milk. Also, I used only 1 teaspoon of honey and I used a whole ripe banana.

Love it! Substitutions I made were vanilla almond milk and chocolate protein powder.

I use a very small amount of milk, leave out the honey, and add a buch of ice cubes and it makes like a milkshake. It is amazing

The only change I made was with the milk. I didn't have enough fresh milk, so I mixed in powdered milk, a bit of cold water, and ice cubes, to thicken it up a bit more. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I like my smoothies thick and frosty. So good and no added sugar, which is definitely a plus for me! My kids loved it, too, even my daughter who has a sweet tooth didn't ask to sweeten it any more.

Perfect for post-workout or a quick on-the-go breakfast. I used almond milk as suggested in the Cook's Notes and subbed stevia for the honey. Delicious!

Instead of milk, I used yogurt. Instead of honey, I used syrup and instead of cocoa powder, I used baking chocolate powder. It was OK but it’s very liquidy. Taste is good. I recommend it if you are a sweet person. Which I am not.
