Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • cup cherry jam
  • cup dried tart red cherries, chopped
  • 16 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
  • Water, as needed
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400F (200C).
  2. Mix the filling: In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese and cherry jam. Stir in the chopped dried cherries until well combined.
  3. Prepare the wrappers: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean work surface with one corner pointing toward you. Moisten the edges with a small amount of water.
  4. Fill the wrappers: Spoon about a rounded teaspoon of the cherry mixture into the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, tucking it underneath. Then fold in the side corners and roll the egg roll away from you toward the remaining corner. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers and filling.
  5. Coat with cooking spray: Lightly spray both sides of the prepared egg rolls with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Air fry the egg rolls: Arrange the egg rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches. Air fry for 4 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Prepare the cinnamon sugar: While the egg rolls cook, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  8. Coat in cinnamon sugar: Once the egg rolls are done, remove them from the air fryer and immediately roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture using two forks.
  9. Cool: Place the egg rolls on a wire rack to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  10. Serve: Serve the egg rolls warm and enjoy!

Cook's Note

If preferred, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of melted butter for the cooking spray.
