Air Fryer Corn Nuts Recipe
Ingredients:
- 14 ounces giant white corn (such as Goya)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoons salt
Directions:
Step 1: Gather all ingredients.
Step 2: Place the corn in a large bowl and cover with water. Let it sit for 8 hours or overnight to rehydrate.
Step 3: After soaking, drain the corn and spread it out in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Pat the corn dry with paper towels. Allow the corn to air-dry for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Preheat the air fryer to 400F (200C).
Step 5: In a large bowl, combine the dried corn with vegetable oil and salt. Stir until the corn is evenly coated.
Step 6: Working in batches, place the corn in the air fryer basket in an even layer. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes. Shake the basket and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 7: Shake the basket again and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Once done, transfer the corn nuts to a plate lined with paper towels.
Step 8: Repeat the process with the remaining corn.
Step 9: Allow the corn nuts to cool for about 20 minutes until they are crisp before serving.
