Herb Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoons dried savory
- 1 teaspoon kelp powder
- 1 pinch salt
- cup unsalted butter, softened
- cup buttermilk
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 450F (230C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, parsley, basil, sugar, thyme, savory, kelp powder, and salt.
- Cut the softened butter into the flour mixture using a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Slowly drizzle the buttermilk over the flour mixture while tossing lightly with a fork. Continue until the flour is just moistened.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it gently 4 to 5 times.
- Pat the dough into a -inch thick circle.
- Using a 2-inch cookie cutter, cut out 12 biscuits, reshaping the dough as necessary to use all of it.
- Place the biscuits 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve the biscuits warm, and enjoy!
