O'Brian's Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 (2-pound) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
- cup melted butter
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 12 ounces shredded American cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- onion, chopped
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes cereal
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the thawed hash browns evenly at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, condensed cream of chicken soup, shredded American cheese, sour cream, salt, and chopped onion. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the hash browns in the baking dish.
- Top the dish with the crushed cornflakes, ensuring they cover the entire surface.
- Drizzle the remaining cup of melted butter over the cornflakes layer.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dish is bubbling.
