Crispy Baked Walleye Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • cup dry bread crumbs
  • cup instant mashed potato flakes
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 4 (4 ounce) fillets walleye

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450F (230C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs and water together until smooth, then set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the bread crumbs, potato flakes, Parmesan cheese, and seasoned salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Dip each walleye fillet into the beaten egg mixture, then press into the bread crumb mixture, coating the fillets evenly.
  5. Place the coated fillets onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake the fillets in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish is opaque in the center and flakes easily with a fork.

Recipe Tip

You can also substitute tilapia or other white fish fillets for walleye.
