Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • cup panko bread crumbs

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375F (190C).

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, Italian seasoning, basil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 3: Add the ground beef and panko bread crumbs to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined.

Step 4: Using a teaspoon, shape the beef mixture into approximately 40 meatballs, each about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, slightly smaller than a golf ball.

Step 5: Place the meatballs on ungreased, rimmed baking sheets, ensuring they are evenly spaced.

Step 6: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the centers are no longer pink. Turn the meatballs halfway through the cooking time for even browning.

Step 7: To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of a meatball. It should read at least 160F (70C).
