Favorite Garlic Noodles
Ingredients:
- 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
- cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
Directions:
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to a rapid boil.
- Cook the egg noodles in the boiling water until tender yet firm to the bite, about 7 to 9 minutes. Drain the noodles and set aside.
- In the same pot, add soy sauce, peanut oil, sesame oil, and granulated garlic. Stir until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
- Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Transfer the noodles and sauce into the skillet and stir-fry for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until they are slightly crispy.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Cook's Note:
This recipe works well with any type of Chinese egg noodles, but Rose Chinese egg noodles are recommended for the best results.

Boy Arthur, you are quite crabby! I actually did make the recipe and loved it.

This was a hit in my house!! I have a LARGE family and I needed a quick meal idea. I multiplied the recipe by 1.5. I subbed butter for peanut oil and used slightly less soy sauce and oils than what the recipe called for. Not by much - just a tiny bit less. I used half garlic seasoning and half fresh minced garlic because I looove fresh garlic. I also threw some fajita seasoned precooked grilled chicken strips in a skillet and warmed those while the noodles cooked. Served everything up with a salad and BOOM!! 5 star meal for 9 on the table in 20 minutes!! I’m definitely adding this to the rotation!

I am getting ready to make this recipe, for my wife and me this evening, with breaded chicken beasts from Sprouts. Once evaluated, I will leave a proper star rating to the menu. Just so you know, I'm only using fresh gardnulated garlic, butter, graded paresean cheese, and a small amount of olive oil. Photos will be added as well as my wifes picky eating habits. -- Kyle Ripton After a successful dinner, I have to say this was a five star meal. Everything was made in the microwave. Cooking the noodles first, drained water, adding a stick of butter, a generous amount of minced garlic, salt, pepper, and heated in microwave. The noodles were melt in your mouth. The chicken had a lemon zest mixed with the already prepared chicken. Heated up in the airfryer. Put it all together, and she and I both loved the desire for more. Worth every bite.

Can't beat the ease of preparation! Simple and flavorful. I added shrimp and shredded carrots and will add some cabbage next time.

I added grated carrot and chopped cabbage. Next time I will add some shrimp. It was good, just needs added items to make it a better 1 item meal

These were a good addition to a meal. The first day I made them they tasted too garlicky. After leaving them over night in the fridge, they tasted much better the next day. I didn’t have granulated garlic. So I used garlic powder and just added half the amount. I would make this again and maybe even throw some steamed broccoli in it next time.

Made a 1/2 batch for my wife and I. Added frozen green beans, sliced mushrooms, and chopped cooked chicken to the skillet. Excellent!

They were great! Yes, I modified it a bit. First, doubled it. Then substituted 1tbsp peanut butter plus 2 tbsp avocado oil for the peanut oil because we didn't have any. Also no egg noodles so we used linguini. I sauteed yellow peppers, garlic, and mushrooms in a heavy skillet then pulled them out and put chicken thighs in to cook while the water boiled for the noodles. Chicken done, noodles done, poured them and veggies back into the pan with the chicken to meld together. Hubby went back for seconds. Garlicky and delicious. (drops mike)

I marinated chicken breast in the all the ingredients that were added after the noodles were cooked. Easy way to make it a main dish and add some protein.. No need to add additional salt. Soy sauce was plenty.

The garlic called for is too much. Only made this once so I think next time 1tbs garlic powder

I added shredded carrots and cabbage, peas, chopped sweet onion, ground turkey, fresh minced garlic, cubed zucchini - a bit less oil than the recipe calls for, and a bit more tamari (added to sauteed veggies/turkey while cooking)

This is the first time I have made noodles like this. They were ok, but wasn’t something I would write home about. Maybe I’m just not a fan of noodles like this? I ate them and so did everyone else, but I probably won’t make again.

This is really good! No peanut oil so did butter and a tablespoon of peanut butter! Even if you have peanut oil add a tablespoon of peanut butter

It came out very well with a few tweaks. I added shrimp, onions, lipton onion soup mix, and some chicken broth. Someone else added the broth to prevent noodles from sticking. These tweaks added more flavor. Will make again. Other reviews were very helpful.

Thought it was bland. Put in 4 cloves of minced garlic vs granulated. Really needs something additional to oomph up the flavor. Oh well, my family are it and didn't complain!

Recipe as written, lacked flavor for me. (I even added 2x the garlic). I suggest adding some chili oil and a bit of chicken broth so the noodles don’t stick together (and it adds some depth to the dish) and you don’t have to use more sesame oil.
