On January 13, 2017, I found this recipe to be incredibly simple and budget-friendly for gift-giving, as it used ingredients that are staples in my kitchen. However, I personally found the brownies to be quite oily, so I believe substituting 1/2 cup of butter for the oil might yield a better result (essentially making it the recipe for the Best Brownies without the frosting).

I had never tasted homemade brownies until I made this recipe. It was a spontaneous decision as I was preparing it for my fiancé. The recipe was very easy to follow, and the result was incredibly delicious! Instead of using vegetable oil, I opted for applesauce and I baked them for a bit less time to keep them gooey, just the way we like them. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe!
