Pinto Beans Muy Facil Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound dried pinto beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1: Place the dried pinto beans into a large bowl and cover them with several inches of water. Soak the beans for at least 8 hours, or up to 24 hours. After soaking, drain and rinse the beans well.
Step 2: Add the soaked pinto beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeno peppers to a slow cooker. Pour enough water into the slow cooker to cover the mixture by several inches.
Step 3: Cook on Medium-Low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or until the beans are tender.
Step 4: Once the beans are cooked, season them with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well before serving.

The only change I made was mashing the beans, but this recipe is absolutely perfect!

I have high standards when it comes to beans, and these ones are absolutely delicious. I've prepared them following the recipe and also tried adding chicken broth, both ways turned out fantastic.
